HP Connected Music – Professor Green

I have been very lucky and bagged myself some tickets to the secret #HPConnectedMusic gig with Professor Green!

That I wasn’t excited is an understatement, I had never seen Pro Green live and seeing an artist live for the first time holds something special.

Wednesday 26th November, despite the rain there was already a large queue forming outside ‘Under The Bridge’ at Stamford Bridge in Chelsea. Β The competition winners were pretty excited and after a short wait the queue started moving.

Upon entry we were given a lanyard with more info about the gig and some drinks vouchers. Perfect, this is the evening sorted, then.

‘Under The Bridge’ is a very lovely venue, it is perfect for small intimate shows as it only holds a maximum of 500 people, but my favourite aspect is that you can see the stage from almost everywhere in the concert room.

HP Connceted Music was being a very good host, and kept the crowd entertained before the show started with a Photo booth and a short performance of Sinead Harnett.

Professor Green entered the stage at 9pm and was rather happy to be here. He was in such a good mood and all smiley faces. Β He kicked things off with his recent single ‘Lullaby’ which got the crowd singing from the very first second.Β  Followed by one of his older songs ‘ I Need You Tonight’.

Next up was the old banger ‘Just Be Good To Green’ and the mixed crowd absolutely loved it. Hands in the air and jumping around, people were having a good time. Professor Green engaged a lot with the fans, shaking hands and joking around. This gig was the perfect opportunity to get up close with the Professor.

The set continued with a mix of old and new songs from Professor Greens album ‘Growing Up In Public’. Unfortunately the time went by way to quickly and roughly after one hour it was already time for the last song.

The Professor wrapped things up in style and gave a stunning performance of the massive hit ‘Read All About It’, much to the fans liking. One last time everyone was sinning along the famous words, hands were waving and despite the sea of phones, there was the odd lighter turning the place into a rather beautiful light.

I had a great time at the concert and next time I get the chance to see Professor Green live, I’ll happily go along.
